Charlotte Home Inspector Finds Leaking Toilet

March 26th, 2012 · No Comments

Charlotte home inspector Preston Sandlin was on recent home inspection in Weddington when he found some rust spots on the floor of the batroom behind the toilet.  Tracing it back to the rusty bolt between the water closet and the the actual toilet he found the problem.  The problem was that the rubber washer their was failing and allowing the toilet to leak.  This is a pretty common problem on older toilets.  Home Inspection Carolina recommends checking the floor behind your toilet and the bolt that holds it all together on a regular basis.
